Daniel 8:12—A Dual Prophecy

Something is dreadfully wrong with America today. To understand why, look no further than God’s own church. Nearly 30 years ago, a dark spiritual force overthrew this church from within. A prophecy in the biblical book of Daniel foretold the same outcome in America. America is now suffering a crippling attack on its spiritual values. Learn the root cause of America’s troubles. Understand the duality of prophecy—next, on The Key of David, with Gerald Flurry.

Let God Fight Your Battles - The Trumpet Daily

Setting the kingdom of Judah back on track spiritually was courageous, arduous, difficult work for Hezekiah. But after that came a monumental trial. The massive armies of the Assyrian King Sennacherib came up to invade Judah. This was a terrible superpower at the time. Assyria struck fear in nations! The Jews were greatly outnumbered and had no hope of withstanding this powerful enemy.

King Hezekiah had relaxed faith in the face of this incredible trial. “And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying, Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah” (2 Chronicles 32:6-8).

Hezekiah knew that God would fight this battle for the people of Judah. When the Assyrians began to taunt Judah, Hezekiah, along with the prophet Isaiah, turned to God in prayer.

This chapter of Hezekiah’s life is filled with lessons God’s people can apply in their own spiritual battles. God has not promised us the easy way, but He has promised to fight our battles. Hezekiah endured a trial on a level most people have never come close to. He turned to God and God fought the battle for Judah. And God wants to do the same in your life.

Merkel's big lie, Pope wins Charlemange Prize, America backs down from Iran, and More

All is not well in Germany: Growing numbers of German people are becoming unhappier, not just with migrants, but also with the current German leadership.
Many Germans believe that Angela Merkel and her pro-migrant allies in the government and the media have deliberately lied to them about the migrant crisis in Europe.
The International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen is traditionally awarded to an individual who has performed “exceptional work … in the service of European unity” and “most often work[s] toward integration—and who [is] able to exercise a political influence.” Pope Francis won this last week.
Iran deserves the punishment of economic sanctions for its ballistic missile program: The White House announced plans for new sanctions on Iran in this regard. Then it announced an indefinite delay in the imposition of those sanctions.“If the president’s announced sanctions ultimately aren’t executed,” commented Rep. Mike Pompeo, “it would demonstrate a level of fecklessness that even the president hasn’t shown before.”
In an article titled “Brave New War,” the Atlantic noted that Russia and China were at the forefront of championing a new form of warfare during 2015.
“It’s a brave new war without beginning or end, where the borders of peace and war, serviceman and civilian have become utterly blurred—and where you and I are both a target and a weapon.”
December 31 was the 16th anniversary of the United States giving the Panama Canal back to the Panamanians. For centuries, world powers have coveted the trade opportunities that this gate would open up—from the Holy Roman Empire under Charles v, to Scotland, to Germany and to France. But none succeeded with the building project until the United States did from 1904 to 1914.
America’s gain (and loss) of the Panama Canal is an astounding fulfillment of prophecies documented in The United States and Britain in Prophecy and He Was Right.

Have Spain’s Elections Killed the Euro?

https://www.thetrumpet.com/article/13423.2.0.0/economy/euro/have-spains-elections-killed-the-euro

Either way, these two forces will take Europe further down the road to total collapse in 2016. It may get bad, very bad, for the union, before it gets better.
“Watch closely,” wrote Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry back in 2011. “Germany will use this crisis to FORCE Europe to unite more tightly. In the process, some eurozone countries will be forced out of the union. When that happens, the pundits will say European unification is dead, that the European Union has failed. DON’T LISTEN TO THEM!”
The transformation of the 19-member eurozone into the 10-nation superstate that theTrumpet has forecast for decades will require a lot of pressure. It may be a messy process. Nations will not give up their sovereignty unless they’re forced to. Things may have to get pretty desperate. As Mr. Flurry wrote, the EU may even look dead. The political turmoil in southern Europe is helping to build the crisis necessary to force European unity.
We saw this in Greece in 2015. Will it spread even further in 2016?

America’s Geography Reveals God and Doomed America to Prosperity

https://soundcloud.com/trumpetdaily/americas-geography-reveals-god-and-doomed-america-to-prosperity

America’s geography is absolutely unrivaled and unique in the world. Its super fertile soils, mid-latitude climate, fantastic river systems and natural harbors have condemned America to be rich in capital. These economic blessings are the result of God using geography to fulfill promises made to the ancient patriarch Abraham and his descendants. By studying geography we should be able to see God’s hand in world events and fulfilled prophecy. On today’s show, Robert Morley discusses one of the pivotal prophecies explained in Herbert W. Armstrong’s book The United States and Britain in Prophecy and explains how God used geography to make America great.

Lessons From Churchill’s 'Iron Curtain' Speech

https://soundcloud.com/trumpetdaily/lessons-from-churchills-iron-curtain-speech

Immediately following World War II, Britons voted Winston Churchill out of office. Churchill then entered what he called one of his “black dog” periods. He was depressed because he saw the massive threat to the Western world by the rise of Soviet Russia—but he couldn’t help his nation on the sidelines. Churchill was encouraged in 1946 when United States President Harry Truman invited him to the U.S. for an important speaking engagement. His speech, titled “The Sinews of Peace,” is famously known today as Chuchill's “Iron Curtain” speech. On today’s show, Trumpet writer Brent Nagtegaal discusses the background to this speech and the lessons it provides us today.

How 2015 Changed the World, Part 1

https://soundcloud.com/trumpethour/how-2015-changed-the-world-part-1

We're taking a look at how the world changed in 2015. Events are moving fast-and we want to talk about how they are actually moving things forward in fulfilling biblical prophecy. We've assembled all our regular contributors together for a discussion about the biggest changes the world has witnessed over the past year. Today we'll focus specifically on events in the Middle East-this has been a huge year in that region, and we'll discuss several of the ripple effects that traced their way back to one single cause. We'll also look at Europe-specifically about how the refugee crisis and terrorist attacks have caused dramatic shifts there. We'll also speculate about the biggest changes we should watch for in this coming year. And we'll conclude with a talk about how our radio station, 101.3 KPCG, did in 2015.
