If you are looking for an uncanny political document, the United States Constitution is it. It is the oldest national constitution still in force. It has been used as a model for more than 150 other national constitutions. And it’s only about as long as a simple term paper.

Many Americans, and even other nationals, favor upholding the foundational law of the republic. Its supporters say the Constitution is the reason the United States is exceptional, and why it became the greatest nation in history. But that’s only one side of the coin.

The Solution

It is obvious that our main concern should be the invisible evil powers destroying America, not any physical threat. We need much more than guns to solve America’s problems. God says the American people are to blame—not any national leader or political party. Everyone is ensnared in sin. We must face our sins to even begin to turn things around.

God protects His loyal remnant with an angelic army. He leads the people through a physical man. We have the awesome power of God on our side! Satan and his demon army are no match for that. God can easily defeat Him—if we have the faith.

Jesus Christ will soon return and replace the systems of man with the perfect rule of God. Satan knows his time is short, so he is causing as much destruction as possible before God personally stops him (Revelation 12:12). God will bring man the peace and happiness he has always sought, in spite of man’s rebellion. We are being cursed instead of blessed, but that won’t last for long. There is great hope in man’s future.

Is Alzheimer’s Disease Fueled by Society’s Lack of Respect for the Elderly?

The Alzheimer’s pandemic has long been a dark riddle. But a new study says the main cause of the disease may be societies’ absence of respect for elderly people. It basically says that individuals who are conditioned by society to believe that they will lose their mental acuity and health when they grow old most likely will. But the Bible makes clear that viewing aging and the aged negatively is totally contrary to God’s law. The young should honor the aged, and older people should reject society’s negativity about aging and instead wear the gray hair, which the Bible calls the “crown of glory,” proudly! The biblical example of Caleb shows that aging does not have to by synonymous with decline. At age 85, he said he was “still just as strong” as he had been at age 40.

Pope Francis: Europe’s Top Unifier

As unity is becoming an increasingly desperate need for all of Europe, the think tank for Angela Merkel’s party is considering the Vatican’s track record of bringing such unity.

Europe’s crises are far from over. As times get dark, this hope for unity held out by the Vatican will burn even brighter and gain even more attention.

The historical precedent for this source of unity goes far beyond the EU’s founding fathers. The Charlemagne Prize is certainly an appropriate award for the pope—Charlemagne also used the Catholic Church to bring unity to his empire 1,200 years ago. Charlemagne, or Charles the Great, brought a good chunk of the Continent together as one empire, and he did it through the help of one church.

As the Catholic Encyclopedia noted, Charlemagne’s legacy was “the idea of a Europe welded together out of various races under the spiritual influence of one Catholic faith and one vicar of Christ .…”

This is the heritage the Charlemagne Prize deliberately revives, and it’s one European leaders are very familiar with. History shows them that the road to European unity goes through the Vatican.
