Trump on American Exceptionalism: ‘I Never Liked the Term’

Early into United States President Barack Obama’s first term in office he said he believed in American exceptionalism just as “Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.” His comment brought strong criticism from the right. Some even wondered if President Obama understood what the term “American exceptionalism” meant. He later backtracked on the comment and tried to clarify what exactly he meant. Ironically, current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s view of American exceptionalism is even more left than President Obama’s. When asked about it a little over a year ago, he pointedly said, “I don’t like the term.” On today’s show, Stephen Flurry discusses American exceptionalism, what it is, where it came from and what America must do to hold onto it.

What’s the Bilderberg Agenda?

While the Bilderberg Group may not be the world shadow government of conspiracy theorist lore, it is still one of the most influential groups in the world.

 The Trumpet has long reported on how the U.S. government cooperated with the Catholic Church and former members of the Nazi Party to build a European superstate capable of helping Washington oppose the Soviet Union.

Instead of trusting God and striving to obey His law, the people of Britain and America have trusted in nations that will turn out to be enemies. Building up the European Union and Germany will prove to be one of the most foolish decisions these nations have made.

The Bible foretells of a corporatist empire that will straddle the Atlantic Ocean in the time just before Jesus Christ’s return. This resurrected Holy Roman Empire will be led by Germany and the Vatican, and it will cause the “merchants of the earth” to wax “rich through the abundance of her delicacies.”

Like the Nazi industrialists of Hitler’s era, these merchants will profit from trading in a very valuable commodity—the lives of men (Revelation 18:3-13). Neither America nor Britain will join this empire willingly. Instead, both nations will be forcibly annexed into this German-led empire via a BLITZKRIEG-STYLE INVASION.

Sugihara’s Stand

When the Nazis began massacring European Jews, an unlikely man defied his government, and risked everything in order to save as many of them as possible: Chiune Sugihara, the Japanese diplomat stationed in Eastern Europe. Fruit Fit for Harvesting

How can we be sure that when Christ returns, we will have produced fruit worthy of harvesting to feed the world?

God’s firstfruits are not just called to salvation, but to do a work preparing for the final fall harvest of all humanity. In his booklet Human Nature: What Is It?, Stephen Flurry points out the reason for our calling: “That brings us back to the ultimate purpose of why man was created in the first place—to become God. God is reproducing Himself. He is calling out a select few at this point to assist Him in teaching others in the World Tomorrow. In preparing for that, they must overcome just as Jesus Christ did (1 Peter 2:21; Revelation 2:26; 3:21). We can’t overcome by our own power. It has to be Jesus Christ living again in us by the power of God’s Spirit (Galatians 2:20; Zechariah 4:6). God is creating something very beautiful in us. ‘[W]e are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,’ as Paul said (Ephesians 2:10).

“‘For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous’ (1 John 5:3). Real love—God’s love—is action. It is keeping God’s commandments. And unless our peoples stop talking about love and start obeying God’s law, the evils and moral depravity we see all around us will only get worse. Only when we make a stand, with firm resolve, and determine to live according to God’s way, will we ever eradicate the evil nature—actually Satan’s nature—which resides in the mind of man. Only then, when every human being rejects Satan’s way and seeks God’s Spirit-power, will we be able to solve the problems that plague mankind” (emphasis added).

The feast of Pentecost is all about that joyous time when God finally harvests His firstfruits and begins to usher in the coming Kingdom of God. We too can be there, right alongside Jesus Christ, if, during this lifetime, we are bearing fruit fit for harvesting.
