Yesterday, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe revealed to CBS News that high-profile members in the Trump administration were considering using the 25th Amendment to remove U.S President Donald Trump from office in 2017. That amendment exists to provide a contingency plan if the president is incapacitated, ill or otherwise completely unable to fulfil his duties as president—not to remove a president from office if some in his administration disagree with him. This would have been an unconstitutional coup attempt against the president. On today’s program, I discuss this newest revelation in the anti-Trump saga and show that most of the media has ignored the story. I also discuss Labour Party leader John McDonnell’s recent comments about Winston Churchill being a “villain.”
